Why scrapbooking?
Why Not?
Some people start creating scrapbooks when they get married or have
a child or some other life-changing event.
A parent, aunt, uncle, grandparent or friend, can create them as a gift
to the child or parent for a wedding, anniversary, graduation or the
birth of their first child. In short, scrap books can be created by
anyone for anyone.
Some adults like to gather old pictures of their parents and grandparents
along with the children and grandchildren and make scrapbooks to give
as anniversary or milestone birthday presents.
Making albums of your own life is rewarding and has meaning. Capturing
moments that define who you once were a million life times ago and who
you became and who help you get where you are.
There is no right or wrong way to make a scrapbook, only your way. These
little creations of yours will be there for you to look back on as time
goes by. And as the memories start to fade in your mind, your personal
photo journal will always be there.
Where should you purchase your scrapbooks or scrapbooking supplies?
The answer to that depends on the individual.
I like Joann.com
and
Amazon.com mainly because I have used them in the past and have
accounts already set up with them. Joann.com
can be a little slow loading at times, so you do have to be patient.
Although I have visited Mister
Art.com and that site seems to offer a lot and the prices seem to
be competitive, I haven't purchased anything from the site, therefore,
I cannot comment either way.
Walmart.com
has a pretty good selection of scrap booking supplies and the cool thing
with Walmart.com,
is if I have plans to be in the area or shop there, I use the free site
to store option and just pick my order up then.
SHOP.COM
has some limited scrapbooking supplies at pretty reasonable prices.
